Department of Landscape Architecture, Planning and Management

We are looking for a researcher with broad knowledge of plant materials and how to work with woody vegetation to meet the future challenges of our cities. You will work in a multidisciplinary environment and in a subject group focused on urban greenery within teaching and research.

About the job

The position combines teaching and research in the area of woody vegetation and how they can meet future challenges with a changing climate and contribute important ecosystem services. The teaching conducted is varied and includes planning, organizing, and leading practical exercises indoors and outdoors, giving lectures, workshops, and seminars, as well as supervising and examining theses. The research combines experimental methods with field trials to understand the ability of woody species to contribute various ecosystem services and manage challenging plant environments. The role includes administrative tasks and assignments related to teaching and research. As a researcher, you are expected to publish scientifically and actively seek research funding.

Your background

To be eligible for the position, a PhD in Landscape Architecture with in-depth knowledge of horticultural plant materials and vegetation construction is required.

Meritorious for the position are:

• Docent in Landscape Architecture with a focus on plant materials
• Scientific production in the form of publications
• Experience in obtaining research funding
• Previous teaching experience
